pronouns : my preference tends to change but they/them and neopronouns are usually a safe bet. i’m okay with any pronouns in english but prefer elle/neutral terms in spanish

i am an aroacespec butch lesbian, and also nonbinary (transmasc and bigender)! fuck off if you hate trans people & trans sapphics

i have adhd-c (diagnosed) and suspected autism, i get very fixated on my interests. this blog is an amalgamation of all those fixations! here, you will likely see posts about critical role (and associated media), keeper of the lost cities, five nights at freddy’s, the pitt, the hunger games, and gothic lit (that’s by no means an exhaustive list)

i’m very interested in activism from an intersectional lens, this blog isn’t a politically neutral blog and i will write and reblog posts about topics such as colonization/imperialism (in all parts of the world), climate change, (intersectional) feminism, racial justice & antiracism, scientific literacy, etc.

also i’m mentally ill & chronically ill so that might show up sometimes 😞 (all posts will be tagged accordingly)

personally I am of the opinion that vegans who are like “the way our food system currently works under capitalism on a large scale is exceptionally cruel to all animals including humans and is not sustainable, so I’m doing what I can to make the most ethical choices available to me about what I eat and encourage others to do the same” are generally very reasonable people who I agree with in spades. but vegans who seem to think human beings are not themselves animals who are ultimately also part of the food chain but instead some kind of other paternalistic higher entity that can never engage in ethical and sustainable hunting practices (and especially the fringe I’ve seen who think other carnivorous animal predators are also evil and need to be eliminated) are people I regard as foolish at best if not actively anti-indigenous and racist

I hate when descendants of native Mexicans try to completely deny the violent aspects of their peoples or other groups culture. People who reject the Mexica / “Aztec”s ritual practices of cannibalism and sacrifice are just stupid. they’re trying to erase parts of their culture to be seen as equal or civil to old world groups. Almost every ancient culture had violent practices, and even then why are we trying to fit in with these people? Anyways, our people sometimes did some things purely because that’s how culture was, and yes some people were sacrificed willingly, it was a big part of their faith. The Mexica did have a great army ready to do some pretty horrific things and that’s okay, don’t polish our culture to make it more appealing to people, who cares?

Please understand that high support needs are substantially more than low support needs.

I hate to say it, but if you can hold a job with minimal accommodation from others, drive a car or take public transport independently, and handle most bADL’s and iADL’s with self-management strategies, you are not high support needs.

I by no means am trying to invalidate people, but it’s incredibly important to recognize where you actually lie on the full spectrum of disability. Otherwise we risk speaking over people who genuinely are HSN.
