Found images.

So i was digging trough a box of old photographs, i think i was trying to find some kind inspiration, and i found a bunch of photographs that i had taken in Bristol a while back but i had done nothing with. 

This was a fantastic opportunity for some experimenting with this new method of cutting up buildings. This time however i decided to build them up with more layers than before. 

This layered image was as a direct response to watching Episode 4 of the Netflix show Abstract - Bjarke Ingels on Architecture.

In this they show a building designed by the architect Bjarke Ingels.

The Mountain 

This building is all about the way it is layered up. It has been designed in a way that gives everyone living in it the same view and equal amounts of space no matter where they live in the building. 

It was the aesthetics of this building that really struck a cord with me. The way it does rise up like a man made mountain. It is this layering that i was interested in when making the collage from the images of Bristol. 

Others that have seen this image agree that it does look good, it is interesting and draws you in but no where near as much as the more simplistic ones in black and white.

I think some experimentation is needed and some more thinking about how i want to present the City as a subject. How complex do i want these images to be? Do i want them to be very simple?

I am struggling with how much i like this direction and whether or not i want to continue with it.
