This has gotta go down as one of my proudest achievements this year. Winning the award of Pageant Influencer - Past Queen at the Universal Inspiration Awards 2019 was totally unexpected and as you can see from the pics it made me quite emotional. This year has been extremely difficult health wise but I believe that strength can be found in pursuing your dreams with determination, consistency and dedication. I strive to empower others around me, I thrive seeing their achievements and watching them grow, so to be nominated for this award was a real honour for me. Huge thanks to the organiser @sacharjones for sharing my nomination with me; "Kat is such a fantastic woman and a truly amazing figure for self love and self confidence, after winning @missinternationalcurve in 2017, she created her own campaign and successfully launched her own YouTube channel. Kat has always been an inspiration and will continue to inspire for many years to come. I am extremely proud to announce that I won the award for #PageantInfluencer - Former Queen at The Universal Inspiration Awards last night. To say I was shocked would be a serious understatement especially when you see the calibre of #formerqueen that I was nominated with. Each of the women nominated utterly deserved this award for their outstanding achievements within their reigns and what they continue to do for the #thegreatpageantcommunity. These women inspire me daily, each of them having fabulous qualities such as poise, grace, intellect, tenacity and unwavering dedication to both their systems and the #pageantcommunity as a whole. I was incredibly proud to be nominated with these women. Winning this award means far more to me than I can possibly put into words and I am extremely grateful for those who nominated me. The last couple of years have been extremely tough for me both physically and mental health wise but despite my own issues I have not taken my foot off the gas, I have continued to work hard to challenge stereotypes, alter negative perceptions and instil confidence in people all over the world who struggle with self worth and self esteem. Being recognised for my hard work by not only my peers but also by a panel of independent judges is extremely humbling and I am very grateful for the honour of being awarded something so prestigious.
