Pageland Police Capt. Shane Whitley said Reid was reportedly last seen on Sept. 3 with Emanuel Bedford, who lives in Georgia. Police believe they made it to the Greyhound station in Uptown, but that’s where they lose Reid’s trail. Whitley said Bedford is not a suspect or a person of interest in the case at this time. Chesterfield Deputy Involved Shooting

A suspect exchanged gunfire with deputies Sunday night near Pageland, according to the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office.

First shots rang out just before 8:30 p.m.

Deputies say one person is dead and several more have been shot.

The suspect reportedly ran into the woods near Evans Mill Road and was shooting at deputies. Reports indicate that it is a shootout situation.

One of the gunshot victims was being airlifted, deputies say.

  UPDATE:  Latest information is that no law enforcement was injured in the shooting.
