@painoflego, ready to fight! Toa Targa will be my representative.
Hello Hafu! Always enjoy your work and the time you taken away to answer our questions. I have always wondered if The Po-matorans traded any goods with the other matorans back on Mata Nui island?
Of course! Did you think I became renowned island-wide by just selling my statues in my own village? Not so: Po-Koro craftsmanship was sold everywhere, from Ta-Koro’s markets to the famous bazaar of Onu-Koro!
Competition Withdrawal
@painoflego
Consider this my formal withdrawal from the weapon crafting competition. Best of luck to those who remain.
Cheers!
Ice Sword and Ice Shield
Ice Sword
Blade once wielded by stoic warrior whose name is lost to time.
Which is more chilling, the razor’s edge or the fear it instills? Perhaps this blade holds the answer.
Ice Shield
Shield once wielded by a stoic warrior whose name is lost to time.
It’s said this shield is carved from the glaciers of the Shattering Sea, whose ice is believed to be unbreakable. If true, then how did this shield come to be?
My entry for round three of @painoflego‘s competition.
Round One
Round Two
For @painoflego's Weapon Contest, here's a strange lil crossbow that uses the new(er) blaster piece from the Star Wars sets. T'kolo is ready to smack some fools 🙏💦💥😤🅱
Eye of the Guardian
Shield forged from the soul of a warrior who wished naught but to protect the one he loved. It’s said any who peer into its eye is overcome with a deep sense of loss.
Skill: Guardian Angel
Generate a protective halo which absorbs all incoming damage.
@painoflego, Targa is prepared to defend himself. This is my entry into round one of your competition.

@painoflego: Flame Yellowish Orange is the only solid color the windscreen piece I used for the thighs comes in, and that was the piece the whole MOC was ultimately based around, so I was sort of locked into that. It and all the other nice curved pieces that come in that color sort of steered me in the direction of a crash test dummy/industrial robot color scheme.
I figured the grey joints and accents, computer brain, and uncanny facial features should be enough to help reinforce that this is a mechanical contraption and not a nude human figure. But if you want to see it that way, it’s not like I can stop you.
@gk733-bonkles: I’m kind of fond of the head, creepy as it may be, since it helps reinforce the artificiality of the whole model as mentioned above, and is also pretty expressive. For example, the mouth tile can be rotated or swapped out for square or circular tiles to express different emotions, and the eyes can pivot to look in different directions.
I can certainly explore other possibilities, but not until after BrickFair, since I’m away from most of my bricks this summer and don’t really have time to make another BrickLink order. The only changes I expect to make to the head in the coming week are changes to the hair length and color with parts I’ve already placed orders to pick up when I get to BrickFair.
