I’ve been prototyping some new custom paint racks lately - these are made out of balsa wood and kebab skewers. The glue on the big one is still drying, which is why I haven’t fully loaded it up yet. XD I’ll tweak one or two things for the final design, but overall I’m quite happy with them! I also want to make a version that can be hung instead of standing on the desk.
Now I just need to figure out some sturdier materials (that are still cheap). XD If I had access to a laser cutter I could potentially use either MDF or acrylic, and I’d probably replace the skewer rods with flat pieces instead, but idk yet. Another option could be whipping up a 3d file and getting it 3d printed, but idk how sturdy 3d printing plastic would be at this scale, and I’d need to find someone with a suitable printer in the first place.
Worse comes to worst, I’ll just get some thicker balsa wood and hope for the best XD
