Shaken, Stirred and Scrambled
GMM is really shaking things up season 17. I mean, literally, shaking. Somehow, they’ve aquired a paint shaker, and today’s episode makes a great addition to the Putting things in things series.
What would be a morning without a bucketful of martinis? Not mythical, that’s for sure. I like to picture the whole crew walking around sipping martinis after this. Although, as Rhett “Martini” McLaughlin said, there are times, when you need a lot of martinis. Take James Bond for instance:
“He’s in a lot of different relationships all at the same time. Things get complicated.”
I was convinced you couldn’t possibly make whipped cream in a paint shaker, but apparently you can. I don’t know how many boys Rhett’s paint shake brought to the yard, but it’s good to know at least Link is lined up for more, preferrably with peanut butter instead of strawberry syrup. If these interesting puns keep coming with this rate this season, I may be in trouble writing any commentaries suitable for all audiences. You have been warned. By the way, I’ve diluted half-and-half with water myself sometimes. It doesn’t really make milk, but it goes well in hot chocolate!
The NeverWet episode is a classic, and it’s great to hear it has a special place in Rhett and Link’s memories, too. Seeing them pour red wine over their all-white clothes was a beautiful sight. But so is seeing how much space Rhett’s hair takes up in his hood compared to Link’s.
I should feel sorry for the Furby, but honestly, I want to punch it in the face. Putting it repeatedly to a paint shaker is a close second, but can it not just shut up? I can’t believe there was a time when I kind of wanted one, even though I was too old to really have one. I did have a talking doll, but at least it was easy to turn off. Did I mention I love seeing the guys look so happy playing today?
I would love some of the upcoming Rhett and Link vlogs to be some kind of craft projects, because today’s More was enjoyable to watch. Link pausing to wait for the viewers to catch up with his insane project was maybe my favourite moment today, because he was just so freaking adorable. Also, I loved his enthusiasm at the whole experiment, and how he was so convinced the egg wouldn’t break.
I love these guys, I love GMM and today’s episode just made me feel happy. That is a good mindset to end this post. Now I need to go for a walk with my dad and take a mythical breather.
