“A fake smile was the first face I learned how to read.” This was originally a childhood photo of myself and my mom There are a lot of reasons I refuse to fake a smile, still still and look pretty simply to appease someone..or anyone, for that matter. There are also a lot of reasons I can tell immediately when someone is faking a smile towards me, especially when done with the intent to manipulate. I’m not grateful that I’ve had to learn the hard way, but I’m grateful that I can say these things with certainty, regardless.
