I recently painted this angel for a very close friend of mine as a birthday gift. 🎁 . 🎨🖌🎨🖌🎨 . I used the mixed media collage techniques that I have been, by creating a small-scale paper collage over canvas using glue and gel medium. Next, I used the acrylic paint pour medium technique to create the background colors for the painting. The angel was made by taking several cutout pieces of canvas paper, and layering them over the painted background. The details were then painted over top of the collage pieces with acrylic, paint markers, and glitter. Next, jewelry pieces and ribbon fabric were glued on the painting for accent and texture. A final layer of resin was poured over top to seal and enhance the features and colors of the painting. 🖼 . 🖌🎨🖌🎨🖌 . I added a nice ribbon so that my friend could easily hang the painting where she’d like to. This painting, although simple, is special to me as it’s of an angel, which my friend represents to me.
