On my drive to campus today, I was alone with my thoughts. One such thought was: when the Doctor and Martha went to NYC inevitably facing off against the daleks, was Amy and Rory in Manhattan at the time? The episodes both take place in the 1930s and could also add to the fact the doctor(11) couldn't take the tardis to the time period because he was already there/just been there.
