Though the elections werent really Fair & free but still glad to see the Democratic transition in this country. I could hear people saying how people here are incompetent and apathetic & would fall for the Authoritarianism.
But people in Pakistan showed that they could handle it. Peacefully!
I was at the polling station where it was sooo full of people. Suffocating. Unfortunately, i saw the rigging & unfairness by the MQM workers. The guys started giving the ballot papers and shouting 'Time is running out, fill this up and put in the box'. They even cancelled my grandma's vote by stamping on Kite even though she had stamped on Bat 'IK' before, so she demanded another ballot paper. well whatever it went. Im Satisfied.
People stood up for themselves & threw the previous politicians to loose. People protesting for fair elections & against the rigging yesterday night is another example that people here are not going to give up!
