Help Evacuate Wafaa’s Niece Salma for Treatment
Hi all, thank you for your continued support for Shaima and Mohammad's family. For those who don't know, Shaima and Mohammad are verified by @el-shab-hussein on the vetted spreadsheet as family number 260.
Wafaa (@wafans-blog) has been extremely grateful watching the progress of the campaign. Today, she talked with Mohammad, Salma's father, and he urgently wants to evacuate Salma alongside Wafaa's family when the border opens so his daughter could get medical treatment for multiple infections that have taken hold.
Salma just turned 5 years old two days ago, but this birthday she could not celebrate like past years. The water supply at al-Mawasi camp is compromised and clean water is unfortunately extremely scarce. She has been suffering from a severe intestinal infection and painful skin rashes all over her body for days now. Salma and her parents were turned away from the hospital since they had no medicine to treat her due to the siege that completely cut off medical supplies.
Salma cried all day when her birthday came this year from all the pain she was experiencing but can't quite express. She had lost most of her cherished toys in the countless times her family was displaced. No child deserves to live under this shadow of starvation, constant bombing, and forced displacement, these 10 months of war and psychological stress.
Wafaa shared these photos with me, the left photo is when Salma was just 6 months old. This is the only photo Wafaa has of her on her own phone, Mohammad and his wife Manal were forced to sell their phones earlier on during the invasion in order to have money to feed their children and so all the recent photos are lost. The picture on the right was the cake Mohammad and Manal bought for Salma last year for her 4th birthday.
Donations have been slowing down again today, please don't let this campaign stagnate. Don't let Mohammad and Manal watch their baby girl suffer any more than they already have.
Our goal is to raise $7,500 within the next two days so that Salma could be evacuated with Salem and Malak, so Salma could get medical treatment promptly. We are currently at $6,230 of the $7,500 short-term goal as of August 1 morning, that's $1,270 more to raise!!

Help Evacuate Twins Zeina and Malik from Al-Mawasi
Hi everyone, I wanted to thank the outpouring amount of support Wafaa and her family got after the false scam accusations got debunked yesteday afternoon and evening, we have officially broke 10k and Wafaa will be able to help register 4 of her youngest nieces and nephews for evacuation! This is fantastic news.
Shaima and Muhammad's family evacuation campaign is personally added to the vetted fundraiser spreadsheet as family number 260 by @el-shab-hussein five days ago, so please don't hesitate to share and donate what you can!
As I mentioned in an earlier post, Hala agency is charging Wafaa for ADULT RATES for any child over 15 years old (as long as there is a possibility they might turn 16 when the paperwork is finished and they are able to evacuate). Because of this, the rest of the 6 children each need $5,000 in order to be registered. And with the increasingly unstable military situation in Khan Younis where iof specifically targets and harms children, this family urgently need your support!!
Our next goal is to evacuate Shaima's twin children Zeina and Malik, who are 15 years old, and whose academic curiosity inspired bouts of hope and joy in the family. This means our next goal is $20,000 to be raised within the next five days. Please help us accomplish this goal!!
The last donations were made 15 minutes ago, please continue to help share this campaign! Currently $10,338 raised of $12,500 daily goal, that's $2,162 more to raise before the end of day!

Bangladeshi female student having a seizure in shock of being beaten in University of Dhaka
It's been 240 hours. I keep watching as my country turns into those dystopian fantasies I love reading about. Except there's no happy ending, there's no epic good vs evil fight.
It's my government, my police, my law enforcement units beating and killing my fellow students without any remorse, any judgement.
I love my country. Without any kind of doubt. I have been taught patriotism since my childhood. But how can I love my people and motherland any further when all it wishes to do is to kill, kill, kill.
Police throwing tear shells in University of Dhaka from tanks
We live in a dystopia. Our law enforcement is here to kill brilliant students, students that want to make changes, students who speak up about their rights, students who build drones and robots. Our mainstream media wants the police to shoot at students so they can get exciting videos.
And they can get away with it. If social media is the only centre of our voice, then they'll block our internet. If the roads are where we protest, they'll order curfew.
Students attending funeral (without bodies) for the students killed by police shootings
My university wants nothing to do with us. They're above student protests, they're above having any ounce of responsibility for the death of so many of my brothers and sisters. "It's out of my control", our vice-chancellor says. And our chancellor? Well the president has had speech disorder for years now. He'll be back for convocation and cutting ribbons soon.
They'll end the curfews soon enough. They will tell us to go back to the campus they drove us out of with gunfire and tear shells. But how will we do so while we have a conscience? How can I step over the blood shed by my fellow students? How will I go back to classworks and labs and hangouts when there have been dead bodies in those streets merely weeks ago?
Injured dog (presumed dead by now) at the University of Dhaka campus
But it doesn't matter. This world does not care about genocides of millions of children in Palestine. Why would it care about 500 innocent students in such a small country like Bangladesh? My country, where equal chances at jobs and education needs a bloodier movement than establishing our language. Such a primitive land, isn't it?
The green is gone. It hasn't been here for such a long time. I'm sorry for being so hopeless and useless and helpless.
