haha, no need to apologize, pakura head canons are my favorite things to talk about. Just don’t know where to start. Okay, this might get a little messy…and long…
Pakura first started when they first met, during the ‘Gamer Girl’ quest where Peter, Julian, and Wes go into a king of the hill match in B.A.N.G to try and recruit Sakura. It was when they were first attracted to each other, but at that point it was more of an interest than any romantic attraction. Sakura liked, even though he was terribly inexperienced in the game, how Peter took command of Wes and Julian and held an impressive, albeit short, fight against her. Peter liked her strong, independent personality.
The next significant Pakura moment was during Sakura’s help quest, ‘Game of Life’, when Sakura recruited Peter into helping her beat Payton’s High School Experience quiz. She convinced him to be her spontaneous date since he was the only other person she knew at BeachSide, besides Nishan, but she was still very mad at him. Sakura took Peter to a coffee shop because she heard online that was a popular dating ‘hot spot’. She tried to engage Peter in small talk, but the date was failing horribly, so Peter instead took her to arcade down the street.
Throughout the help quest Sakura started developing feelings for Peter, but didn’t particularly understand them. She compared them to Nishan, who she had dated very briefly in Hearst before deciding that they were just friends and were simply pressured into dating by what everyone else thought about them. Peter, on the other hand, is crushing hard on Sakura, but is afraid to do anything about it because of how his last relationship with Payton ended.
The next significant Pakura event is the ‘School Carnival’ quest where, in my head canon, Payton takes the role of MC while Peter is in charge of the game booths with Sakura and Autumn. They spend a lot of time together, going on rides and playing games on their break, at Autumn’s insistence, and that’s when Sakura realized her feelings for Peter might be romantic. Peter’s freaking out because he realizes that he really likes her.
Months later, during the Pandora storyline, Peter starts getting really stressed out that Pandora is hurting his friends and he can’t do a thing about it. Everyone (Wes, Nishan, even Autumn) is able to contribute to bringing Pandora down and Peter feels useless. He even runs away only to be found by Sakura. She sees how stressed Peter is and understands the desire to want control over aspects of his life, feeling panic when things go wrong. Its part of the reason why Sakura developed the grading system at Hearst.
Sakura pulls Peter out of the Pandora search, ignoring Wes, forcing him to come inviting Peter to her house and her gaming den (aka her basement) to play video games. Sakura has a whole schedule where she decides her gaming time into three parts : competitive gaming with her clan, regular gaming with Nishan (basically completing campaign/achievement hunting), and finally alone time. Sakura invites Peter to play with her during the latter and it becomes routine, playing prop hunt, hidden source, and other g-mod games, Minecraft, watching movies.
One night, Peter and Sakura are watching Alien, talking about how it terrifies Nishan. They’re on either side of the couch, their legs intertwine, and realize it had gotten late so Sakura invites Peter to sleep over. Knowing he’s still kinda stressed over the Pandora thing, Sakura walks over and kisses Peter on the forehead. That night was kinda their quiet confession that they like each other.
It takes a very long time for anyone to realize Sakura and Peter are dating, except Payton. She notices the way they look at each other, how they’re always sitting right beside on anther, and how they try to stealthily hold hands when they thing no one is looking. Payton keeps it to herself, for awhile, until Mia figures it out not long after.
Peter and Sakura do not go to prom, against the promise they made to Payton, instead they go to Splish Splash (a water park) with Wes, Ezra, and Koh. They have their first kiss on the lazy river which is, well, a river where everyone jus lounges on inner tubes. Peter and Sakura had gotten a double and, after passing under a bridge dropping water on them, Sakura leans in and kissed him before Koh comes around and tips them over.
Peter and Sakura move in with each other some time after graduating, While Sakura is going to school for video game design, Peter, after a few months working in Koh’s workshop, goes for his teaching degree. They adopt a few years later after Peter becomes a teacher. Willow Hamada-Burnes. They never get married. T
I have two AUs for Pakura. One, my main, you just read, the second is almost exactly the same, but Sakura and Peter don’t date until after high school and instead Sakura goes out with Koh for a few months.
Sakura is big spoon, Peter is little spoon…most of the time, but they do switch it up when Sakura is feeling stressed. Sakura describes cuddling Peter like hugging a stuffed bear.
Peter falls asleep on Sakura a lot, which she enjoys, and she’ll whip out her 3DS and play games while he sleeps.
Sakura likes picking Peter up and carrying him bridal style.
