Day 2 : Day of Palaces
Second day was more planned and included eating out as well. In the morning, we got out early to catch a spot in the Wind View Café – Essentially giving a view of Hawa mahal full frontier.
We ordered some sandwiches and tea, while sitting back to enjoy the view and click some pictures. This is one of the must go places to capture some good pictures of the Hawa Mahal view. I will be sharing a picture of the same post this entry. After spending around 90 minutes here and stomach full, we visited Hawa Mahal interiors and it was jam packed with people. We completed the tour of Mahal in around 45 mins and came out to find a shop of Kachori’s. We had a couple of them to taste one of the best kachoris we both have had so far (Picture following this post). We followed an inside the alley route – probably a shortcut to reach City Palace, where we took the tickets and entered. One particular liking we had was a verandah with decorated doors where we clicked a number of pictures. By the time we got out it was already evening and we rushed to Rawat mishthan bhandar via uber. We had a full tummy – most awaited – Dal Bati Churma: for the first time and boy, it was tasty. This is another recommended place to visit to eat (Picture below). By the time we finished, it was almost Dark. We finished the day relaxing at our hotel, watching TV and planning for the next day, unaware of the surprise that awaited us.
