I haven't read Star Wars Visions: Ronin but I've read your post and I'm curious, tell me more about it! Especially the queer stuff, pls :D
You should definitely read it! It takes place in an AU, heavily Japanese-inspired version of Star Wars where Jedi serve the Empire in a "feudal lord" arrangement, Sith were a short-lived rebellion against them, and the Force is divided into "white flare/black current" instead of "light/dark." it is VERY cool but the worldbuilding does admittedly feel a bit like being dropped into the deep end. (also it has "hey, aren't the Jedi kind of FUCKED UP??" which is my jam.)
Okay, but you're here for the queer stuff, which I'm here to tell you is unfortunately pretty subtle? Most of the plot is the main characters trying to find a certain planet. The Ronin is pan, and The Traveler is NB. The moments in which they touch are so charged I nearly died. A minor character, Yuehiro, is a trans guy. I think there's lesbians in there somewhere if you look at Ekiya and Kouru and squint real hard.
