12: Favorite year of school?
Iunno, they were all either mediocre or outright shitty. Maybe junior year high school where I had not one but two teachers that were new and great and had yet to be hollowed out by tiny rural southern town politics. They didn’t last long, though. One was called back to D.C. and the other was bumped down then let go outright for being ~*subversive*~.
22: 5 biggest pet peeves.
5) Gross eating. Talking with food in the mouth, smacking lips, just general rudeness at the table. Especially when the person in question was raised better.
4) People not putting the toilet seat down. I’m a guy and we’re notorious for this and it’s just why? It’s not that hard at all, come on >:(
3) Loose jar lids. Give the lid just a liiiiitle more turning and nobody gets a surprise and has to clean up food and possibly glass.
2) Willful ignorance. It’s just painful to see somebody choosing to remain oblivious, and the reasoning is often worse. Yes, actually, the ice caps melting does somewhat matter you unbelievable ass. Climate change is in fact a thing, oh but since Fox News shat on it lol whatever right?
1) Redneck culture. I use the word culture incredibly loose here. It’s nothing glamorous. It’s not worth emulating or aspiring to. It has no value or worth. It’s an infectious disease that burrows into your mind and saps your will to truly do something with yourself, to better yourself, to wonder just what’s beyond the county line, and go have a look for yourself. I’ve seen far too many people, good decent people, get sucked in here and have their drive reduced to nothing.
So to see it advertised as something great and fantastic is disgusting.
16: Favorite place in your home?
My bed, if it's not too hot. The room has no insulation and faces south, so lots of sun in the summer. But there's a lot of trees and a view of the back yard, usually birds chirping right outside the window :3
