Look out! Our Paleopalooza has brought out something HUGE. It’s our feathered Tyrannosaurus rex, now on display outside our Big, Bad and Bizarre exhibit. This life-sized sculpture is by Brian Cooley, a sculptor known for his life-sized dinosaurs. Notice anything… unusual about this T. rex? This one was made with feathers! Although we are not sure if Tyrannosaurus rex did have feathers, a lot of its cousins did. Come get your photo taken with this new look on an old favorite.
We are celebrating Paleopalooza at the museum today! What better way to get into the spirit than by sharing one of our favorite toy dinosaurs...Tysus! Tysus is a Steiff toy created in 1959.
