I think I did a good act today, but I have to wait and see if it takes effect. So I bought Palestine cola for one of my family members( not going to reveal who I bought it for because I want to reveal as little as possible about my personal life) and since I don’t like cola but I want to try Palestine orange and ask the store employees if they plan on selling the other sodas made by the company and they told me that they are just trying to sell the stock they already have. On my way home I passed by a restaurant that served boba tea and I thought: “ Maybe I could help creating a demand for Palestine drinks?” So I went to the restaurant and bought a passion fruit green tea and then I asked if they were planning to serve Palestine cola with their ramen(This place served noodles too). I also showed the cashier the Palestine drinks website and they seemed interested. She even asked to take a picture of the cola I had with me.
Later in the evening, I went to this restaurant that I liked for takeout and I asked the same thing there. To my surprise they had considered serving it in the past actually, but they just didn’t go through with it. Maybe after I asked about it they might go through with it now, but only time will tell.
I know that the brothers who founded the company are only doing it as a nonprofit, but the rebuilding of Gaza and the West Bank is going to cost a lot of money. Money that these sodas can draw in if they went all in on it being a real soda company. The Coca Cola brand makes billions in sales yearly, think of how Palestine could benefit from that kind of money if Palestine drinks tapped into that market? I hate to say it but Palestine is financially ruined because of Israel and they will have to find a way to jumpstart their economy somehow and this company might be a great place to start.
Edit: I did a quick check and I think I might be wrong about the whole “Palestine drinks remaining a nonprofit” thing.
