I am writing these words with a broken heart. To anyone who reads this and chooses to ignore it, please simply scroll past. I am living through the hardest moments of my life. My husband, Diaa, is slowly dying before my eyes. Because of his severe injuries, especially the injury to his foot, he has been unable to eat or drink properly for more than a week. His weight has dropped to just 41 kilograms, and he is suffering from severe malnutrition that is threatening his life.
I watch him suffer every day, and I feel helpless, with nothing left to do but hold on to hope and pray. We urgently need help to provide him with the treatment, care, and food he needs to stay alive. 🙏💔
Innocence Amidst the Rubble, and an Unbreakable Hope.
In Gaza, children are born with angelic faces, only to wake up to a reality that even mountains cannot endure. This child, with his calm smile and tiny clothes, stands as a witness to a world that has failed us all. Behind him lies the debris of what was once a home, and before him is a future we are desperately trying to make safer.
We are not asking for the impossible. We are simply asking for this little one’s right to a dignified life—for a roof that protects him, a meal that sustains him, and a peace that is not stolen by the sound of sirens and explosions.
Every contribution, no matter how small, is a foundation stone in rebuilding the lives of these little ones.
To the kind-hearted soul reading this,
I write to you from beneath the rubbl… Abd Farra needs your support for Help me and my family to
Yesterday I read through the 94 page long report detailing Israel's deliberate and systematic destruction of childhood in Gaza. This is done through direct means (e.g. snipers targeting babies and children, the constant use of explosives in residential areas knowing they are more likely to kill children), through structural means (e.g. targeting infrastructure that children depend on such as pediatric hospitals, vaccination sites, schools, and orphanages), and through destroying the very foundations of children's dignity (e.g. desecrating children's spaces and belongings, and sexually humiliating them).
Please join us in welcoming our newest member, (Adam). As you know, we are unable to have children. We cannot imagine life without a child, so my husband and I decided to adopt and raise this baby. We are overjoyed to have a child in our family.
How do you continue your day when you hear that a father in Gaza, trapped beneath the rubble, was begging the rescue workers not to save him?
Not because he had lost hope in life, but because he could hear the final breaths of his last daughter beneath the debris. Her tiny hands were holding his in the darkness, as if she were seeking comfort from him one last time. Yet the father, who had always believed he was their source of safety, was this time powerless to pull them out from beneath the dust and stones.
Nothing of his body was visible except his head. He stared into the faces of the rescuers with eyes exhausted by fear and helplessness, saying to them
“Leave me... my daughters are here. I do not want to come out alone.”
What heart can bear such a scene? What language can describe the feeling of a father who realizes he is losing his daughters one by one, while still holding their hands until they grow cold, unable to offer them rescue or even one final embrace?
How will your day continue after hearing this story? How will you sit at your table in peace, or laugh at something trivial, knowing that there was a father whose final wish was not to survive alone?
And the question that continues to haunt the human conscience remains:
How much pain does it take for the world to hear the cry of a single father there?
Remember Hind. Remember Reem. Remember all the little boys and girls who are more than mere numbers. They are dreams, humanity's innocence, and most importantly they are not to be forgotten.

@handalapls is Mohammed Ayesh's blog. He's currently inside Gaza working tirelessly to verify fundraisers. Do I have to explain how exhausting that is? He's in constant danger every single day, and still goes out of his way to help others as best he can. He also has to care for his family, including his little brother Yasser, who is hard of hearing and has a cochlear implant
The implant requires charging, which is difficult due to the destruction and inavailability of power sources in many parts of Gaza, and it's also starting to malfunction, as they're unable to care for it properly, again, due to the living conditions they are in. Trying to repair the device or get a new one would be extremely expensive, and they cannot afford it. This means that Yasser is having a lot of trouble expressing himself, since he's also been unable to have the speech therapy sessions he used to have, which made communication easier for him
Mohammad's fundraiser is destined to collect money to repair Yasser's hearing device, fund his speech therapy in the future, and help his entire family rebuild their lives. In a post on his blog, he's expressed wanting to close the fundraiser before the end of the year, and he has yet to reach his goal. As of today, his campaign sits at £35,320/£60,000. Please share his campaign, and donate to it if you can. The smallest act can make a big difference for him and his family. Mohammed spends so much effort trying to help those around him, it's only fair we should do our best to help him too
