The way I am STRUGGLING to choose between picking Ashura or Reth to be my character's Shepp 😭
Cause like, I just LOVE Ashura. He is such a dad, has done so much to help our characters settle into the valley and the Majiri way of life without hesitation and has been alone for so long since Sabine died + Nuroo left and I would love to be considered a member of his family and help him feel like he has someone to take care of him as opposed to him taking care of everyone else.
But then that is exactly why I want to choose Reth as well, because he is such a selfless character and his backstory is just heartbreaking when you think of what he had to do to support Tish + take care of her and how he views himself as untrustworthy and selfish because of his failed attempts to follow his family's Path and the choice he made to help Tish when everything seemed like it was just going to keep going downhill. And I know for a fact that picking him as my character's Shepp would mean so much to him with how isolated he feels in the village.
GOD THIS IS SO HARDDDDD 😭
(Delaila and Badruu are also admittedly high on my list but I digress-)

p.s. For those of you who are following me and do not know what Palia is, it is a free game you can play on the Switch, and it is a cozy game similar to Stardew Valley if it had fantasy world vibes! I have been having a lot of fun with it recently!
I have come to the point where I need to choose by Shepp, (The person who becomes my mentor in the game) but I can't choose a direction. Here are the options:

Chayne - One of his lines is about how it can be lonely being a priest since they rarely get married or have kids and that made me feel things.
Eshe - I want her to step on me. I think deep down she is a nice person.
