Old feelings never die
It has been 40 years since last time he saw her and yet, the memory of her face was never fully leaving his mind. The feelings he had for her were screwed up. He couldn’t tell how he would react if he saw her. Would he feel the urge to destroy her for all the atrocities, the wickedness, the loneliness and bad times he had been through because of her? Or would all the love he had deeply felt for her resurface and overwhelm him? He couldn’t tell and somehow, he hoped to never cross her path ever again so he wouldn’t have to answer the question. But life was funny. Even if funny wasn’t the exact word he would have used. “Pain in the ass” would fit more, in his opinion. He felt her presence even before seeing her. He knew he would have recognized her. She wouldn’t have aged, but moreover, he would recognize her scent, the essence of what was making her... her. And he did. The aura of her presence almost made him suffocate. Seeing her now couldn’t be more a bad timing. He hadn’t fed since few days, it was late and all he wanted was blood on his lips. Not seeing the girl that turned him into a monster years ago. He grit his teeth. He wanted to leave. But he wasn’t a coward and also... He wanted... needed to see her. He turned on his heels and faced her, standing still, his cold eyes staring at her.
