Finally the gems had left again. 

Not that it made much of a difference to her situation but it did mean she could come out of the bathroom for brief periods.  Especially when Steven needed to use it for... whatever he used it for, he hadn’t quite explained it to her and she probably didn’t truly want to know.  Better than staring at a wall in any case.

She poked at the cabinets, opening one to peer inside.  The sound of the warp pad made her instantly freeze though.

Defective, a word used to describe things that have gone astray from their purpose. Homeworld gave the ideals of not liking those that defect, and the Diamonds gave their own means of dealing with such rouge creations.

Peridot found defective gems a thing of scientific curiosity, wanting to know just what makes a mind tick to leave what they were made to do. But sadly the technician was unable to aquire a defect, though analyzing the shards of former gems that served Rose Quartz...they would be close enough.
