but a good photo and a touch of reworking on a graphics tablet and there you have it and the errors in the drawing lines give it more realism🥰

Questo che vedete è un altro mio esperimento... botanico. Tempo fa, quando ero in padania (praticamente all'estero) avevo alcune 'palmette'. Non so come si chiamino effettivamente, perché io sono un neofita in queste cose, anche se faccio esperiementi da anni con le piante.

Adesso, dove abito io, è pieno di varietà di piante, commestibili e no, da sembrare di essere nell'Eden dopo la creazione. Tra queste ho ritrovato le 'palmette' e mi sono ricordato di come si moltiplicano. Così ne ho prese alcune, le ho tagliate e messe in acqua a testa in giù, metodo che avevo seguito anche allora con successo.

E ora, come in tutte le cose che riguardano la natura, c'è solo da aspettare pazientemente che mettano radici per poi piantarle in vaso, o terra.

Aggiornamento bonsai. Stamane ho cimato l'ulivo che ho comprato un paio di giorni fa. Solo pochi tagli in cima, per iniziare a dargli una forma. Ecco una foto.

Si vede poco, perché ancora la pianta è molto piccola, ma man mano che cresce potrò sbizarrirmi di più a metterla in riga.

PALMETTE

“One of the easiest ways for me to identify floral motifs in a rug pattern is to visualize a flower and recall biology class. A palmette is the vertical cross section of a flower and has a fan-like shape,” explains Albright. According to Peter F. Stone’s book Oriental Rugs, the palmette is based on the lotus flower and its spread petals and is interpreted by weavers in numerous ways.

The palmette is a motif in decorative art which, in its most characteristic expression, resembles the fan-shaped leaves of a palm tree. It has a far-reaching history, originating in ancient Egypt with a subsequent development through the art of most of Eurasia, often in forms that bear relatively little resemblance to the original. In ancient Greek and Roman uses it is also known as the anthemion (from the Greek ανθέμιον, a flower). It is found in most artistic media, but especially as an architectural ornament, whether carved or painted, and painted on ceramics. It is very often a component of the design of a frieze or border.
