Hey fellow Palworld players! If you play with a mod that removes building restrictions, disabled the degradation of builds outside of your base in world settings, and are having trouble catching Necromus and or Paladius, and have the patience, I'd recommend this trap I made!
| V
It is a large 6-by-5 base with one campfire for each square, preferably closer to one of the sides of each square, so that when Necromus runs back to Paladius, one of them will be pushed closer to it and hopefully catch on fire. It has walls (I used the windows for better sight) on all sides but the end that faces the open desert. On that front, most area use the pal passage entrance that was added. Now here's where the unrestricted building mod comes in. Make a wooden gate and center it between two of those pal passage entrances facing outwards so that when closed it covers both passages it intersects but when open Necromus can get out, do this with all 4 other pal passage entrances. Leave those doors open and come back to this area when it's about to turn night so that their AIs have time to start their wandering cycle. Make sure that you come close enough to night for their wandering to start, but Paladius doesn't walk out of the trap. Once Paladius falls asleep wait till Necromus has gotten out is far enough away that you feel comfortable going to the trap and close those gates so that Necromus can't get back in. Now the waiting game starts because you'll have to wait probably multiple in-game days, for Paladius to get low enough from the fire damage they get from walking on the campfires to safely start catching them with either ultimate spheres or what I used, exotic spheres. Note that as soon as Paladius is 1,000 or fewer hp, is when you have to start catching because if Paladius catches fire after that, they WILL die if left alone. Remember to have the ring of mercy equipped so that if your first sphere fails, you can whittle Paladius's health further down and hit them with more spheres. Don't think one sphere will work I had 14 exotics and lost 3 because of missing Paladius whilst flying. (I'd recommend using a flying mount with this but by the time you can get ) I unfortunately could not test my idea for how you'd use this for Necromus yet, as I'm playing with 3x Pal appearance, so I had to deal with 3 Paladius and 3 Necromus at the same time, but how I'd most likely get it to work is by either using the trap to kill Paladius and then locking Necromus back in the trap without getting spotted and then using the Paladius strategy on Necromus or use the fact that Necromus is wandering out of the trap to aggro him and slowly lead him away from the trap so that the Paladius in the trap can't follow. With this trap and strategy, you'll be able to take on only Paladius or Necromus instead of both. For those who are asking, where do you hide whilst waiting for Paladius or Necromus to get low enough to try catching them? You already have a building restrictions removal mod (because you can't build this trap without it), so set up a high up platform to watch from! Like this | V
I'd recommend making it with the glass structure set you get at LV 39 so that you can see into the trap easier! I made mine this long because I just used the replacement mode on my old wooden one, which was shaped like this, due to me starting the bottom far from the back and making it longer as the multiple Necromus and Paladius wandered the trap so that I could still see their health. Note: Even at more than 1x pal appearance rate, you can only catch one Necromus or Paladius at a time with this trap because it is too high a risk to take them both on without a proper settup as well as high damage rocket launcher (both of which I don't have). The extra pal passage gates on top of the existing walls and the stairs coming from down the trap (besides the stairs coming from the area that faces the open desert) are all decorative and I just added them so that the trap looks nice. (The look of the walls with the taller pal passage gates is giving me building ideas, though) This trap was made in a world with the following randomization settings: Random Pal Mode - Randomization by region Random Pal Mode will make Pals levels random - Off Seed- A90BA47440862642D508 Sharing because with these randomization setting for Palworld 0.7 Silvegis replaces Gumoss, Frostallion Noct replaces Relaxasuarus Lux, and Neptillius replaces Verdash. You won't get their saddles for a while ESPECIALLY Neptillius' but strong pals are strong pals.
