You say I killed you? Haunt me then!
Jackie & Shauna in Yellowjackets (2021-) | Aom & Pan in The Dark Dice (2025)
like how am i meant to be normal about panaom. aom sacrificed herself so pan could get out of the game. she was so sure that pan would come back for her, she muttered that affirmation to herself for probably hours before she fell asleep and was stuck in time for THIRTY YEARS. and when she wakes up, shes in a world she doesn’t understand and her dad is dead and her mom is still there but not fully and pan left her alone for thirty years. and she goes to find pan only to see her older and happy and god does she even care? did pan really just leave her behind, let her mom suffer alone alone without her?
but pan wanted to go back and save her so bad but she lost her fucking leg and her friends hid the dice and refused to go back to save aom with her. she spent thirty years carrying the guilt of what happened to aom, tried to take care of her mom and figure out a way to get aom back but she never could. but she wrote her a letter and bought her a walkman like she’d promised just in case.
only for her son to be the one to find aom and before pan can even find that out, her son gets trapped because aom wanted her to feel what pan made her mom feel all those years. because aom wanted revenge because the person she trusted the most, the one she believed would come back for her, never did.
aom sacrificed herself because she believed wholeheartedly pan would come back and pan did everything she could to get her back but she couldn’t. god. what the fuck.
new moral dilemma just dropped: is it problematic to have sex with your old best friend if she was frozen in time at eighteen for thirty years and is therefore mentally and physically still eighteen while you’re now mentally and physically 48?
current mood after watching episode seven of the dark dice
pan didnt get to go back for aom herself, but her son is the one that helped find her….
can i just say tho like i called it. i saw pahn in that yearbook photo and immediately went “oh her and prim should kiss” and well. they didnt but all of that was arguably way gayer
SHE GOT HER THE WALKMAN LIKE SHE PROMISED EVEN THOUGH SHE DIDNT THINK SHED EVER SEE HER AGAIN
LIKE THEY DIDNT EVEN GET TO GROW OLD TOGETHER.
