Paramanu Recordings' PanAssassin released a labyrinthic hip hop album called The Return of Enki on Christmas of this year. Nothing short of amazing, this album carries characteristics that fancy old Wu-Tang masterpieces. These chambered tracks draw you in with layered synths and intricate lyrics amidst grungy bass sounds that might tear up your subs if played at intense decibels.
"Ancient Rituals," one of the standout tracks from The Return of Enki, emcompasses the synthy, lyrical, bass heavy traits that songs on the album embody. The DJ Scratches accompaniment throughout the chorus of "Ancient Rituals" give it a great feel. Although the vocals can use better leveling, the pandemonium instrumental consists of layered sounds that succeed in entertaining suspenseful ears. The Return of Enki can be purchased from here.
