This might be a slightly controversial opinion
But i do think that there's some privilege to having a wider known identity ya know? Gay, Bi and Trans are from what I know somewhat well known by others outside the community (not understood, just aware)
But for lesser known identities such as Nb, Genderfluid, Demi, Ace and aro etc....there's people in the COMMUNITY who don't even know about us or actively don't think we exist.
I mean it's clearly not a "who has it harder" battle. It's just I find there to be some bit of privilege of having a wider known identity.
I most often or not don't even bother coming out to people as they either don't know what it is or don't think it's real
That's why I guess queer is such an important word for me personally as im able to use it as a way to express myself as not straight or cis but without outing myself or even using any labels ya know?
