Traveling and teaching in China has been a most intersting cultural experience for me. After a week of getting acclimated and adjusted to a different reality of internet life here, I finally began to connect with people of this giant nation. The southwest region alone is so big I can’t imagine the size of the cities up north. At first it was hard for me to read the emotions from the local people’s facial gestures and body language, but I’m honest when I say every person has been kind and welcoming towards me.
