Ill be forever salty we never got emd2 bc i actually enjoyed emd a lot more than pokemon super mystery dungeon that i played around the same time and that the md spinoffs showed you could replace the main artist with hardly anyone noticing

I never played the Mystery Dungeon series so I had no idea what to take from its game mechanics--though it was still quite fun! I’m starting to wonder what was the downfall to EMD2 not selling well considering they even wrote an overarching story along with the beloved EO3 classes being added...

Unfortunately emd2 not selling well may simply be the result of the poorer ratings of the first one. Even though by all reviews the mechanics were all improved and it scored pretty high, people’s experiences with the first one may have soured them on trying the second one

As for comparison to other md games, ive only ever played the pokemon ones which are all considered much easier than other mystery dungeon games like shiren and izuna except super which had major difficulty jump and rough leveling requirements 

oh whaaaaat, I could’ve sworn that the original EMD got high praise (and even sold out on their physical copies lol). Though I’ve heard lots of complaints over the EMD2 gameplay + frame rate comparison since I guess they included new effects/conditions on the terrain that didn’t exactly work out smoothly on the 3DS. I wonder if they will ever port the game considering Chocobo Mystery Dungeon will be releasing on home consoles (Switch/PS4) though I guess both the EO and MD series are entirely niche by comparison to something as big as the FF series.

I need eo3u at the very least for picnic mode so i can fill the one glaring empty spot in my enemy and item log that is abyssal god and the infinite middle fingers it gave me

one day :’) picnic mode will be available so we can hit down the Abyssal God like a piñata

Theres also the screw up where the bushi bunny 1st portrait was given the white shirt of the 1st doggy bushi portrait instead of the pink shirt she has in 4, so

i figured it was a little coloring mistake. i don’t blame them though, this is EVERY portrait from all the games cleaned up and loaded into the DLC packs
