Just finished one of my Cozy Weekend Read-a-Thon books. I cant believe that the day this read-a-thon started, it started snowing where I live. PERFECT!!! I managed to sneak outside and grab a quick photo before the snow started coming down again!! Interesting concept to the sequel of #Murdertrending. I started this book thinking that I was going to learn more about how the Paniacs were originally chosen and how they were financially compensated for their kills in the first book. Instead, I read through a lot of political treason. I was kind of confused.
I thought that the character development in this novel was amazing. I loved the tie in with characters from the first novel but found after their parts they were not needed? I was confused about why Dee, Nyles, and Griselda needed to be in the plot at all? I think the storyline almost would have been better off with just going off the daughter of one of the original Paniacs.
I really enjoyed the layout of how the book is told. I like the back and forth between different vantage points, as well as, the online portion screengrab chapters.
The book seemed to kind of set itself up for a third book, which makes me very curious as to what this book would focus on. I recommend #murdertrending and #murderfunding to people who are into mysteries, reality shows, suspense reading. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
