NAC:Am not up for a debate about this, but a lot of the fandom seem intent on moaning about the whiny bitches... whilst moaning like whiny bitches. I mean, I'm probably contradicting myself by kinda moaning about this anyway, but you can CHOOSE to distance yourself from certain people.Unfollow and block, people! You don't HAVE to see their content! Ppl now tag negative posts as 'negative' now, which is great. Honestly, I wish we could be more positive in this fandom - which is what Im tryna be.
I know what you mean. However, drama in any fandom will end up on your dash regardless of if you follow the people who start it or not - that’s just the way this website works. People in fandom can be absolutely infuriating at times, so I can understand why people get annoyed and vent about it.
Not everyone is successful at avoiding things, and let’s be honest, a good 60% of posts from this fandom are negative in some way, so it’s tricky. As I said, I understand why people vent, but due to the backlash it causes, I do advise people to vent privately or through IM with friends to avoid the anons jumping at that.
At the end of the day, fandom is (and always has been) a place meant for enjoying yourself in relation to a mutual interest, and expressing creativity (through art, fanfiction, gifsets, etc.) Keeping things positive is definitely the best course of action where ever possible. I’m sure we’d all take positivity over negativity any day of the week!
