YES TO ALL OF YOUR THOMASTAIR TAG ESSAY!! and yeah I agree that alastair's altruism (regardless of personal cost) and his false bravado (that only increases when he gets more uncomfortable) is a really interesting character choice - it's painful as a reader to hear the other characters' opinions on alastair, because we all know how wonderful a person he actually is😭

Like even with Thomas he went oh I like this getting to basically be a blank slate with him and then the slate was no longer blank and that was painful with Thomas thinking he was awful and then after the sanctuary (where he let his guard down outside of the possibility of anyone else’s perceptions) it was painful with Thomas thinking he was amazing and Alastair went never mind don’t perceive me either you aren’t allowed to tell me I’m bad but you can’t tell me I’m good either, we exist on separate planes of existence now

Alastair, it didn't change! Kamala was amazing in this book too, her development seemed accidental but it was so great to read 😌

20. Which characters would you like to see more in Chain of Thorns?

Alastair and Kamala, same as above. Thomas and Christopher, of course, and Eugenia seems interesting. I also want to know more about Cordelia and Lucie outside of their romantic storylines.

i have a lot, but right now, probably is alastair telling cordelia that cortana belong to her, and that it was never in doubt.

also, christopher and grace talking about science–it was wholesome.

19. what is your favorite pairing as of now? is it different from chog?

definitely jesse and lucie, and that hasn't change. i loved them so much, and they keep serving. their power is unmatched.

28. what are some theories you have for chain of iron?

that I won't survive the book.

honestly, right now my head is a mess, im still thinking about choi, and i want to re read the book, so I can clear my thoughts.

Ha I love it how it says 'fire message me'! I just wanted to say that I think that collectively as a fandom, we should ignore the last few pages of LoS and pretend that it all ends nicely... Then no one will cry and everyone will be happy both as fans and characters in the books... (yeah the ending is devastating and aghhhh I might cry again).
