‘ But... ‘ Baby gave a slight hiccup, meaning that it was too late to stop her tears now. She felt the tears roll down her cheeks and her teeth sunk into her lip to try and silence the sobs bubbling up inside her.

One hand reached up to brush away the tears, hopefully, before Gladius noticed and the other hand clutched at the bottom of her skirt. She hated feeling this way because she knew in the back of her mind that she was just going to be mocked. Another part of her knew that Gladius was right but she was young and hurt and it was hard to listen to his words so she ignored his last statement.

‘ I loved them, Gladius. They needed me... ‘ More tears flowed down her cheeks but she didn’t move to wipe them away this time.

Her hands shook as she balled them into fists and held them at her sides. She had just returned from a mission to find out that her fiance had been killed. Again.

Why, why, why? Why did Doflamingo take them from her? She couldn’t help but cry out. She was angry and hurt but she didn’t know why she was practically yelling at Gladius. He hadn’t done anything wrong and he didn’t deserve to hear this.

“He’s dead to me now!” She could feel the tears pricking at the corners of her eyes, her voice going up an octave before cracking.

“Crap, crap, CRAP!” Gladius sweared to himself, desperately tearing his hair, and tensely bit his lower lip underneath his mask.

Jora would rip him apart if he wasn’t able to find this damn brat in the next couple of minutes! Basically he should be already drawing up a will, because the situation seems to become more and more desperate by every second that passed by.

Constantly looking round in the hope to detect at least a single evidence of where the little Dellinger might have gone, Gladius spotted a young girl sitting at the shore of the sea.

Maybe the tables have just turned.

“You there! Have you seen a boy somewhere around here? About your age, curly blonde hair, slightly disturbing grin. Does it ring a bell?”

Jenny looked up at the guy. “Uhm..I don’t think so.” she answered. She closed her notebook and tried to figure out where this boy could be.“Maybe he’s at the playground. It’s not far from here.” she said.

This guy didn’t look like he’d know the way, so Jenny would probably have to show him the way. That would be pretty risky. The teachers and tutors often visited it with the younger childs from the home. Jenny was not allowed to be outside and she’d get into big trouble if they’s see her there. Especially when she was there with a stranger.

Jenny finally arrived at the harbor. She was on this island for a few days now and explored it. But now it was time to leave. She just needed to find a boat. Maybe she could get on one of the ships or get a small one for herself, but it was already dark, so the redhead decided to go to the next bar instead.

She entered the bar. There were many people, including pirates. When she sat down on a barstool, she noticed someone next to her. Someone familiar. Jenny turned her head and saw Gladius. “Oh..it’s you.”

               She loathed the family, every single one of them. If she could, she’d stay away from all of them. Sometimes it was almost too hard to just stand there and talk to them when she should stab every single one of them to save her country. It did not belong to them and without anyone knowing they were endangering the lives of them all. 

Viola rarely wandered through the palace these days because it was so much easier to walk between the civilians on the streets and to dance for them. She was not supposed to help Doflamingo keep the country he had violently taken from her family but what was she supposed to do? If she died a traitor, so would the rest of her family and she could not do that to Scarlett. Rebecca was too young to be reunited with her mother. 

Things were going smoothly until someone got into her way. Another person she would’ve preferred not to meet.
