Hunting apples at Pomochan ('pommes aux champs' ? )
I've been waiting for this since August. 25 000 apple trees, all branches bend heavily with the perfect fruits. I didn't know much about apple cultivars that are being grown in France, but I certainly wanted the ones that come in October-November and last the whole winter if kept in cave. Today we got Idared, Pinova, Crimson and Chantecler: a case of ~15 kg for 10 euros and gathering the apples from trees by hand -- priceless. Someone's gonna be making apple cakes every week 🍎😶🍏
