I remember that for the LONGEST time, since the anime aired in the west, I thought along others, (I'm old as dirt), that the Oyakata "Leopard Cat king" (Panther King in the English dub) was the father of the Panther/Leopard cat Devas via 4 different yokai wives or consorts, and considering the themes of that filler arc too, but when the latest anime artbook came like 4 years ago that has a section with em, ofc it wasn't the case. BUT I think I am still gonna headcanon it like that due to the fact cause it wasn't uncommon at all that some lords treated their children as nothing as subordinates and them calling their parent lord sometimes.

Actually, I should write that down for fic stuff too. It's cool.
