Ranting Challenge!

Hi! So let’s face it, lockdown is getting to be a drag now and if you’re like me you’re trying to keep smiling while mentally wondering if you could throw yourself out the top-storey window.

So my idea is to write 5 things that are annoying you at the moment and 5 things you’re grateful for. 

So for me that’d be:

1. Because I can’t go work from home I have to go into work and it’s getting QUITE hard to drag myself there every morning.

2. I want to write, but have NO motivation at the moment which is quite bad considering I’m halfway through a fanfic at the moment.

3. Theatres are STILL not open and look like they won’t be for a little while now. As this was my main port of socialisation, it’s having a bigger effect than I thought it might.

4. Both my dad and brother are abroad for Christmas so I won’t be seeing them. 

5. One minute I happy and the next I’m sad and it’s such a ROLLERCOASTER.

And the five thing I’m grateful for. There are more but I’ll go for:

1. I have a job and haven’t been made redundant, which is very, very good.

2. I’m currently watching ‘Shrek The Musical’ on DVD and it’s BRILLIANT.

3. I’m reading a good book which is very funny.

4. I’ve been watching Looney Tunes online and they’re always hilarious. 

5. I have pantomime’s booked for next month and hopefully I’ll be able to attend at least ONE.

ART THROUGH THE AGES

The bottom picture being one I drew, like, a few days ago.

Meet The Silent Thief, the french supervillain who, despite being entirely visible all the time, is entirely undetectable. Okay not entirely undetectable but he can’t be smelled, radar and sonar can’t find him, doesn’t seem to have any discernible fingerprints of any sort, and he’s so just out of technological means no one seems to properly know who he was before he was transformed into this 

(And that isn’t at all because I hadn’t invented his identity before becoming the Silent Thief and still haven’t been able to, no siree)

The Silent Thief’s origin and personality has never changed ever since his inception, I would say approximately 2009-2010, that time period? Anyhow, he is exactly what he says on the tin, he’s a Thief, he’s a mime.

But like many supervillains I’ve created he wasn’t just a mime, he was a failed and disrespected mime whose craft was no longer appreciated and he languished in the loss of his craft.

Until space magic mutagen falling star, yadda yadda, you know the rest; He got turned into this thing. And now he lashes out against a world that rejected his art.

Which amounts to him being a jackass. He’s a loudmouth, talkative jerk who gets his kicks out of messing with people, when he isn’t stealing priceless pieces of art for profit or his personal collection.

His superpower is the ability to construct invisible objects. But there are caveats. The object only exists for as long as he can maintain contact with it, and he can’t create complex machinery unless he knows every bit of ow to put it together, and since he isn’t an engineer he can’t do that with a lot of things such as vehicles that could actually run, guns that could actually shoot, airplanes that can actually fly, at most he could create the shell of those things.

But the man is an arteest and all that means is he can think around his limitations and be creative with his constructs
