they might not look like it at first, but pandas ARE actually cryptically colored! their patterned coats help hide them from prying eyes- just not in the summer. instead, their bold black-and-white fashion statement is intended to work in the winter!

pandas don’t hibernate and are active year-round, and in the winter this means that they must travel long distances between food sources in order to get enough grub to keep themselves going. this months-long hungry road trip makes them vulnerable in ways that they just aren’t in the summer, so their coats are designed to hide them in the high-contrast environment of the snowy woods that they call home.

the thing that truly sets Inuyasha apart from many other anime, i feel, is that you REALLY feel these people are *friends*. They are a group of people who genuinely like each other and they may have a goal but what keeps them together is friendship, the relationship between Inu Yasha and Sango/Miroku or Kagome with them is just as strong an nuanced despite not being romantic
