thinking about how similar both these fools are
Fass made the deal with the Altar for immortality but at the expense of becoming it's vessel and working their ritual for them, costing him and Queren's (and eventually everyone else under the Altar) their existence in the mortal realm. Leaving the Altar is complicated in itself because as long as they live under it, any previous memory or proof on one's existence fades leaving nothing to return to but as a "compensation" the Altar simply absorbs what remains of their soul and body, incorporating them to the collective of themselves, their lives and memories now stored among the numerous others collected across the lands.
Panvru and Yanvru were struggling on their previous work as entertainers which pushed them to take a job elsewhere and so became part of the hunter's guild for the Albis' Barren Fortress. One particular trait of taking a job in the Fortress is that the Albis is allowed to "cuff" a body part of one's choosing, the reason isn't explained aside of it being the norm around the place (rumors tell that is so the Albis can puppeteer the dragon to prevent any disloyalties or misbehavior but no one has been able to prove anything), both choose to bind their hands Pan the left and Yan the right as it just felt right. Panvru is the most irreverent of the two and has talked back to the Albis himself a couple or so of times (all in good fun he says!); the Albis, surprisingly, has never reprimanded him for his actions but one can only wonder why.... All of this will be important later tho :], rn they are just vibin'
I'm loving the dynamic of these two pairs btw
On one hand you got Sen and Joule's whole: "we started off in a deadlock, chained to roles we didn't give consent to fulfill but throughout our shared struggle (and the blessed care of our kin) we have come to a compromise to learn from each other -instincts notwithstanding- and in the hopes to find a new purpose and a content life we move forward. while the shadows of our pasts chain us down and push us to a path of death, we find comfort in each other; we don't know if we can call this love..."
Then Panvru and Yanvru are just them corny lovers, "wow you both guys dont know shit about love, couldnt be us lmao"
