*New content for Toji week🙂↕️
Whenever Toji’s bored, he indulges in Megumi’s weird scenarios. It feels absurd to play along, especially with how small every toy is compared to the gigantic man– And he won’t even mention just how seriously Megumi takes everything. But Toji plays along because it makes the child happy, and he guesses being a good dad is nice once in a while or whatnot.
Toji just prays that you don’t ever catch him doing this because he’d never hear the end of it.
“Are you going to ring me up or what?” Toji has been kneeling in front of the small cash register for what feels like an eternity, but Megumi is paying no mind to the man. Megumi asked to play yet he pays no attention to his father. Well, can you blame him? He’s running a kitchen behind the register as well, he’s a busy child.
“Wait!” Megumi yells, immediately getting upset that Toji is being impatient.
“Man, I need to start going to another grocery store, the customer service here sucks.” Toji teases, holding back a laugh. He chuckles, a sound that sends the child to the edge.
Megumi turns around, revealing the frown on his face. He’s not happy with his dad’s joke. But as the stellar employee he is, he begins to check out the items that Toji has put on the register.
“Beep.” Not only is he a stellar employee but he makes his own sound effects. Really, he deserves a raise for all his hard work.
“Will you hurry up? I’m trying to get back home to my wife.” Toji plays along, watching as Megumi takes his sweet time to scan all the plastic toys.
“She doesn’t like you that much.” Megumi comments, and Toji raises his brows. He’s a bit taken back by the response, but he guesses it’s only natural. Megumi has a bad mouth, he’ll talk back to Toji and say just about anything.
“Where’s your manager? I wanna talk to him.”
“I’m the manager!” Megumi responds.
“Your store sucks, and I’m not paying for the groceries.” Toji ends up standing up, his knees cracking as he finally gets up from the floor.
“Fine.” Megumi dramatically turns on his heel, going back to his play kitchen. It makes Toji believe that his time in the playroom is over, until he begins to walk away. He feels the tiny hand tug his pants.
“What is it, Megumi?” Toji looks down on the child who’s clearly had a change of heart.
“Come to my restaurant.”
