Week 7 \ Class Activity
Shape shifters
Our task was to get into breakout groups and cut up a bunch of paper squares. Our group only had white paper which kind of worked out well. We then split up the alphabet between the 4 of us and created the letters laying these squares together. Our goal was to work within a 2x2 square format.
After we got our alphabet with the white squares, we then cut some in half on the diagonal, then coloured these triangles black. Our aim was to see if this improved the construction of any of our letters.
These are my letters: t, u, v, w, x, y, z.
It was difficult keeping within the 2x2 square format that we set ourselves, and a lot of the letters turned out abstract as a result.
The delegation of letters and the collaboration of our group suggesting each other solutions was great. It was nice to still connect with classmates even if it was virtually.
