nic u know i love remember the laughter so much but i honestly don't think i can rank it- it's such an experience album if that makes sense... i will say we save is my favorite! and im always willing to talk about it :) but ill give you my bullets ranking instead:

1. Early Sunsets Over Monroeville (one of gerard's greatest vocal performances this song is top ten material. not only is it beautiful, it has an amazing sense of instrumental and emotional growth that makes it more powerful. plus it's based off dawn of the dead..... it's basically a gay reading of dawn of the dead who else puts this shit together..... amazing)

2. Our Lady of Sorrows (one of their best written songs of all time. fast and loud and viscerally haunting in the way the lyrics latch onto you. goddamn)

3. Vampires Will Never Hurt You (a piece of gay history, the song gerard used to bait geoff rickly, the song gerard had to be socked in the mouth to sing, the song gerard wrote on his own with his gay little guitar.... but seriously vampires is its own little masterpiece)

4. Demolition Lovers (i have nothing to say other than all we are is bullets. i mean this 😔)

5. Headfirst For Halos (killer track it's so full of energy. the evil pop song thing isn't what makes me enjoy this song, it's the the ebb and flow and the guitar the really make this song work and stand out to me)

6. Skylines and Turnstiles (who writes like this. WHO. not my favorite instrumental by far but the lyrics are life-changing enough to bump it up a little....)

7. Romance (RAY TOROOOO anyway this isn't a super faithful adaption of romance, it's really fast shdjfjfkv But! i think it perfectly fits the album and really sets the atmosphere, without it bullets would suffer greatly. plus the dawn of the dead connection?!??!)

8. Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough For the Two of Us (love this track but it's a little long and a little repetitive, it should have been like sorrows- short and sweet)

9. Cubicles (i enjoy cubicles but i am pretty indifferent to it as a whole- good concept, the execution could be better plus it's right in the middle of the downward turn of the album)

10. Drowning Lessons (I know. I know. but i find this song really grating instrumentally so no matter how much i love the lyrics or gerard's delivery i just don't like listening to it....)

11. This Is the Best Day Ever (this is one of my least favorite my chem songs 😔 i think it's cliche and doesn't fit within the album and none of the writing stands out both in content and the fact the instrumental is too loud.... the gang vocals fuck though)
