I’m trying something out where...
Anything I post on my Blogger website will now post automatically on here too. I hope it works but if it doesn’t, I’ll see if there is another way to do this.
Hopefully this way, you guys can all see some of my content on here as well as on my blog. Ultimately, my blog is the place I primarily post everything and I have a ‘studyblr’ tag on there. The ‘university’ tag also has some study-related content too! :)
With all my photos tagged in one corner, I hope they aren’t reproduced without credit in the future but I know it’s probably inevitable even if frustrating. Will try not to blow up in anger the next time it happens (though you never know...). The worst part is that the concept of plagiarism is drummed into us at high school and university level so why should it be any different on the internet?
Update on this page
So, I'll no longer be posting original content on this page (at least for the time being) because of the lacklustre service I've received from Tumblr re: copyright. Instead, I'll feature my notes once a week on my proper blog - how does that sound? These posts will be tagged 'studyblr' (unless I come up with something better before the first post) so they'll be easier to find. Not sure which day each week yet (it might change weekly depending on my schedule anyway). My experience with Tumblr has been short but definitely not sweet and this isn't something I thought I'd be doing so soon after creating this page. In the future, I might post original content here again but for now, this bad experience has been enough to drive me away. Sorry guys and hope you'll join me on my journey through the rest of medschool (and after - there's still plenty of study involved then too!) on my proper blog: http://www.paperlovestory.com
Questioning if...
I should be using Tumblr now. Tumblr are refusing to take action RE: a post where someone has taken my image and claimed it as their own.
The emails I’ve received from Tumblr are beyond rude and are really uninformative about how to get this post removed (apparently, using the DMCA form is wrong).
For now, gonna hold off posting my own content. Might be deleting this blog soon and posting study photos weekly on my own blog instead. Think that’s safer to be honest!
Don't be that dick who shouts out the answers - I hate people like that. They put other people off and think they know everything. As a medical student, I didn't know the answers.
A surgeon giving us a lecture yesterday at 8am.
He went around the lecture theatre asking questions in relation to his lecture and when he got to my friend, she uhmmed and ahhed a fair bit which made some obnoxious guy shout out the answer. This was the surgeon’s response (such an amazing guy).
I honestly think this is the truth - most people don’t like answering questions because they are afraid of being wrong and then being ridiculed by these ‘dicks’. And yes, the surgeon used the word ‘dick’.
In other news, surgery placement is super tiring. 8am lectures and running around looking for learning opportunities is killing me and it’s only the first week of five! Hoping to go into theatre tomorrow so fingers crossed!
So, I’m thinking of using this as an extension to my blog...
I post a lot of study-related pictures on my Instagram and I thought this could be a good place to post them along with a longer caption that I currently do on there. It means I can post more study pictures without clogging up news feeds, etc?
However, I’ll still post text-heavy study-related posts on my proper blog so this place is mainly for pictures with brief explanations rather than long posts? If you get me... :)
