A trip to the city (Starter for Paperman-George)
Oswald yawned as he glanced out the window at the passing scenery. Going from California to New York was sure a long trip. He could have easily taken a plane and gotten here in less than half the time, but for some reason, Oswald still chose to take the train. There was something very nostalgic about it for him, being from a time when trains had been the main mode of long-distance transportation. Back then, he had ridden the train from California to New York with Walt a few times when they had to travel to New York on business. In his mind, he could almost picture Walt sitting next to him right now, doodling away his latest ideas on his sketch pad. He smiled at the thought, then glanced at the empty seat beside him and sighed as he felt a pang of loneliness.
He glanced out the window again and suddenly gasped in excitement, pressing his face against it as the tall buildings became visible on the horizon. Finally, he was here! He was curious to see how the city looked now, over 80 years later. Maybe he could even find some acting work!
A few minutes later, the train pulled into the underground station, screeching to a halt. Oswald instantly leapt up and hopped off the train, quickly heading up the subway stairs. He looked around in amazement as he finally emerged out into the daylight. He had no idea where to head first, so he simply started walking in a random direction, gazing around at the sights and people as he passed by.
