Well I spoke too soon. Would not be the first time. Seems I was wrong about the citation info (meta data) not automatically filling in when you drag a pdf into Papers 2. According to the video above, it actually can. Must have been that the pdf I used did not have enough identifying information.
Papers 2 is out. As I have said before, I love Sente and use it instead of Papers or any other research media manager. That said, Papers 2 has some nice improvements. Still doesn't seem to automatically start the process of matching a dropped-in pdf to it's citation data.
