#80 Paper Valentine by Brenna Yovanoff
I really liked this book. It is a mystery (which I don't usually like) and there are ghosts involved. Hannah, the main character, is trying to get through the summer after her best friend died 6 months earlier. It would probably be easier if Lillian would stop haunting her. As Hannah deals with grieving and figuring who her real friends are, several girls in her town are being murdered. Since Hannah works at the photo shop in town that prints the crime scene photos, she decides to try and solve the murders with the help of her ghostly best friend. 4/5 stars
#81 I, Robot by: Isaac Asimov
This book was okay. I tried to read Asimov's Foundation series and really liked the first book, and then gave up partway through the second book.
The main reason why I decided to read this one is because they made a movie about it, and I have students that will do book reports for English class over these (whether they realize the book and movie are similar or different).
For example, I Am Legend the movie has very little in common with the awesome book by Richard Matheson. If I was an English teacher and a student turned in a book report about I Am Legend the movie I would be very upset and it wouldn't be hard to tell that they didn't read the book.
I, Robot the movie also has very little in common with the book. The book is kind of like a history book, written like a fiction book with chapters, about the history of robots in Isaac Asimov's futuristic world. There are some funny parts to it and some slow parts, which is why I only give it 2/5 stars.
#82 Of Posiedon By Anna Banks
LOVED this book. I devoured this book. I loved how the main character, Emma, becomes so confident throughout the book, and does not let the good looking and bossy Galen control her (not like in Twilight where Bella licks the boots of Edward the whole series). They also talk like sarcastic teenagers, which means I laughed a lot throughout this book.
Emma has some special abilities (hint deals with water) including communicating with fish, and Prince Galen needs to find out why he is just now finding out she exists. Sorry there is such a vague description but I don't want to give too much away.
5/5 stars, I highly recommend you read this book and have the next one in the series handy...I didn't....I was very sad...wait I am still sad about it.
