10. Hardest video game you’ve played?
shin megami tensei nocturne probably LMFAO........... i know it’s not TOO hard once you figure out the boss patterns/get the right demons but oh my fucking god i do not have the patience for that. mfw i basically ragequit it because i was in a fight after not having saved for a while and got fucked over because the enemy just kept CHARMING MY ENTIRE PARTY OVER AND OVER AND THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO. SO THEN NAOKI BASICALLY BEAT EVERYONE TO DEATH AND IT WAS JUST
i realized that i really did not need that kind of stress in my life, so yeah. nocturne was probably the hardest game i’ve ever played.

i was literally ready to throw my ps3 out the window and set it on fire. it was probably 1am when i first reached him. and then the misery began. the pretty much instant death that was tetra spell. the not being able to avoid it even though i was doing everything you should to be able to avoid it. the trying to be calm and grinding a few levels so i could be better prepared against him. the fact that it wasn’t doing anything. the actually getting really close to killing chronos a few times, like less than 2k hp away from it, and then dying anyways. the fact that the computer characters in my party could not keep themselves alive worth shit. the fact that i’d probably use up all my life bottles before the second part of the fight even started. the fact that it took two of my friends coming over and all of us playing to finally kill chronos because i couldn’t trust the computers to get anything done. the fact that that happened another day and on my first day i started trying to kill chronos i kept going at it until probably 5am and i felt my sanity slowly melt into a pile of goo the entire time.
i could probably easily find the plurks, tweets, and tumblr posts i made during that frustrating time. it had also been a long while since any video game actually made me mad, but this sent me through the fucking roof. what was ridic too was that literally every single other fight with him after that was piss poor easy. him rewinding time??? easy as fuck. him getting that giant spinning thing behind him??? like i gave a shit. i mowed him down both those times but that first fight against him. just.
i hate chronos.
