Texas Governor DILFs (Blue Edition)

I often see comments about Republican politicians being hotter than Democratic politicians in my feed. And while I'm not here to weigh in on that debate, I will just say that Texas had a lengthy string of DILF governors when it was a blue state.

P.P.S. The man in the last picture is Governor Pappy O'Daniel, who was portrayed by Charles Durning in the film O Brother, Where Art Thou? Just a tidbit for all the Durning fans in my orbit!

Sometimes I think being a political science major was a bad fit for me, then I remember that my favorite line from O Brother Where Art Thou is "How we gonna run reform when we're the damn incumbent!?"

And so it all began, long before I was born. I have to give credit where credit is due, and that is to Molly O’Daniel Danielson; my Grandmother. She was born Molly O’Daniel to the Governor “Pappy” O’Daniel and his wife. Molly was one of the most fashionable Texas ‘socialites’ who was featured many times in Life Magazine. She was married off to Jack Wrather in front of the whole state of Texas, after Pappy announced that everyone in the state was invited. My Grandmother, Molly, then married Richard Ely Danielson Jr. They settled in LA by way of Texas, Miami and Chicago.

 My love of fashion stems from my Grandmother’s red lips, red nails, and Ferragamo Shoes- the woman had style. The woman had a thing for shoes, but it was hats that really struck her fancy. Custom hats from around the world must have taken up a whole storage closet on its own! It was my Grandmother who sparked my passion for fashion, art, food, and the desire to travel.
