A chat with mom

Hunter bit his lip nervously. He knew he needed to do this. He wanted to see what would happen and if he should even bother talking to his Siblings. Micheal and Abigail hadn't bothered to contact him after he came out. They where both a bit older and had their own life but the fact that his sexuality seemed to make them ignore him upset him a great deal. Taking a deep breath he dialed his mothers number and waited as it rung. 

"Hello Hunt, How are you doing ?" She asked as a way of answering. 

"Doing well Mom, How are you and dad?"He asked nervously 

"We are well. So how is that grandson of mine. Did he like his gifts?" She asked. Hunter had been surprised how accepting she had been when she first heard about Cody. He had known that she accepted to a degree his sexuality but wasn't sure how she would feel about him and Sebastian doing the surgery or the fact that they had a baby. But she was excited  to have another grandchild to spoil. The only issue was that she lived so far away it was hard to come see them.  

"Of course he did Mom. He loves them.  I have something to ask you though. " He mumbled.

"What's that baby I can hardly hear you." She said a hint of concern in her voice. 

"Well, I first wanted to let you know that we decided to try for another baby, But this time I will be the one carrying. " He said in a rush. 

She was silent for a moment before saying happily. "Really another grandbaby. I am so happy for you both. It is amazing what we can do now a days." she said in wonder. 

Hunter sighed when he heard her response. "But I was wondering I was kind of wanting to see how Micheal and Abigail would feel about meeting  their nephew." He said 

"Well I have told them about what is going on. They know they where in the wrong and have come to accept you I do believe but if you would like I can call them and test the waters see where they stand on Seeing you again and meeting your little family." she said sincerely It had taken much education and talking to her two other children to get them to accept Hunter. She wasn't sure how far that acceptance would reach though and would have to really see if they would be OK with this she didn't want her baby and his babies upset by something they may say or do. "I can get back to you and let you know what they say." She said softly. 

Hunter sighed and said. "Thank you Mama I really do want them to be apart of Cody's life and any future babies we may have. I hope that they will be willing to at least meet us and see how things go." He said glancing up to find Sebastian watching him in concern. He mouthed "later" and said to his mom" Thank you for doing this. I really didn't want to get you in the middle of all this but I wasn't sure if they would even accept my phone call." He said

"Hunt baby its OK. I have no problems with doing this just know that if they don't you still have me and your Dad OK. " She said lovingly. 

"OK mom thank you again. Call us back and let us know for sure please." He asked

"I will baby. Don't worry. Give that baby hugs and kisses from his Nana and tell that man he better be taking good care of you." 

Hunter laughed wetly. "I will mom. I love you" 

"Love you too baby" She said making a kissing noise before they hung up. 

Hunter looked up and said. "She is going to talk to them and let us know what is said." He said softly to Sebastian. "Can you hold me please." he asked as he wrapped his arms around himself trying to calm himself down.

COFFEE AND GETTING TO KNOW YOU

Hunter shrugged on his jacket, pocketing his phone and keys. Before heading out the door. "Behave Queenie I will be back soon." He whispered giving his cat a pat on the way out. He closed and locked the door, before rushing to the elevator. Once outside he hailed a cab to the area he needed to go. Once there he climbed out paying the driver and heading into the coffee shop. He placed his order and found a table near the front, once he had his drink. He sat quietly watching has people came in and out of the shop. Getting nervous about meeting someone new.

COFFEE AND SEBASTIAN || HUNTER & SEBASTIAN

Hunter backed up his bag for school after making sure he had everything he needed. He then glanced one last time in the mirror. Not sure why he was putting in the extra effort, It was just coffee after all and it wasnt like He would notice anyway. He picked up his keys phone and wallet and after saying goodbye to Queenie, Headed out locking the door. 

He finally made it to the Coffee shop they agreed too. Some where close to NYU. Since he had classes this morning and figured Sebastian did too. He thought it would be a good idea to meet some where close. He ordered his coffee, before finding a table and sat down to wait for Sebastian.
