Introduction || Riley + Ethan
She came in through the breach.
Covered in blood and gore, she slipped in with the walkers, making her way toward Shady Grove, hidden among their numbers. She'd been traveling with them for a couple days now, unnoticed. It hadn't taken her very long to figure out that she could mask her scent with the guts of others. It wasn't pretty, and the smell made her want to gag, but it helped her survive. So long as she kept a slow, halting pace and stayed silent. But there was no need to talk anyway.
After a couple miles, she broke off from the group and made her way toward town, hunger driving her toward civilization. She headed for the alleyways between the buildings, searching for a dumpster. When she found one, she started scrounging around, though she doubted anyone would throw out anything good.
In the end she found a rotten apple and a few pieces of moldy bread that were hard as rock. She ate them anyway, not having had anything to eat for four days. The shots and screams started then and, anxious not to be found, she started jogging quietly toward the woods, figuring she'd be safe to hide there for a little while and gather her strength.
She found the lake without too much trouble, but a couple of young men were already there. It seemed like they were hiding from the walkers. One came out of the bushes, and she quickly left before they could spot her. She didn't want to end up being bashed upside the head by a baseball bat.
Making her way around the lake as quietly as she could, she eventually found a nest left by some animal. She crawled inside. It was a tight fit, but being small she managed it. Then, holding her sword close to her chest, she was able to close her eyes and sleep; something she'd been craving as well for the past few days.
