California Dreamin’☀️ McGosling

Since having the talk with Rachel about wanting to get to relearn one another again, the actor couldn’t help but agree with her. It had been months..hell even years, since they last talked to one another. If it wasn’t for this place they possibly wouldn’t even be in contact again nor would Ryan be setting up a day that’d be somewhat adventurous and fun. He wanted to get to know her again; make sure that this was going to work if anything. Even if they didn’t click as they once did in the past, he would still want to be friends with her. This was the first step in them hanging out and just being themselves. Santa Monica pier and dinner could definitely bring out the best of them and he was hoping that this would allow them both to let loose.

As the time got closer to one o’clock, the tall actor decided to change out of his clothing into something much more decent for a said date. Pulling on some jeans and a buttup white short sleeved shirt, he then put on a leather jacket. Once his black boots were on and laced, he grabbed his wallet and keys that were on the nightstand beside his bed and put both in his pant pocket. Picking up his phone from the bed, he quickly send a text to Rachel hoping that she was ready to go as well. The last thing he wanted to do was show up at her condo and she wasn’t ready yet. 

Having everything he needed, Ryan was out his door, and making his way on up the the floor above him to pick up Rachel. The elevator ride up wasn’t long but it felt like it was too him. It could of possibly been all the nerves he was feeling since they were in fact going to relearn one another again in hopes of them becoming an us again. Now that he was in front of her door, he took a deep breath in, and shook his arms trying to relieve himself from some of the nerves. He knocked twice firmly waiting for the actress to open the door.

Church Day - Dean & Annabel (AU)

Sunday was one of the funnest days for Dean. Admittedly, he was a firm believer in God-- though, it wasn't something he'd shove down anyone's throat or walk about preaching it's ways, but that wasn't the reason. The reason was the amount of time he got to spend with the girl he had been having a crush on for quite a few years now. Dean was a guy that barely got noticed by anyone and when he was, it was to be called 'baby Grace', which surprised him that anyone at least remembered him as being Daniel's brother. 

Annabel though... was different. She treated him differently. She treated him nicely. He figured he didn't have a chance; she was a beautiful girl, the sweetest girl in New Quinton and guys were bound to be head-over-heels for her. Dean was just too dorky for anyone's liking. 

That didn't stop him from liking her. He just couldn't help it.

He always saved his nicest clothes for Sunday. Just so that he could impress when he knew Annabel was looking at him. He went to bed early the night before so he could wake up energized and be the first one out of that door in the morning.

When that car arrived at the Church he felt anxious, his parents always found other people to mingle with from the neighborhood but, Dean remained silent just searching around for Annabel and when his eyes fell on her he immediately blushed. A cheesy smile forced itself onto his lips.

He made sure to be seated on the row besides the one Annabel and her parents sat in. No matter what, every Sunday at Church, Dean would keep an eye out for Annabel and her family and wherever they sat he tried his best to sit near. It seemed odd, but he couldn't help it. It was as if every time they spoke-- or even looked at each other-- his crush became bigger and bigger. A crush that had been going on for years.

Leaning forward slightly, he glanced over at the row across from his at Annabel. Trying his best not to seem so obvious, the smile that pulled through might have told.

Christmas Day | Kane & Lara

Kane sat on the edge of his bed with his phone pressed to his ear, tying up the shoe laces one his shoes. "Yeah, it's gonna be great Everyone's gonna have a fun time,'' he spoke into the phone as he finished up with his shoes. Standing up and looking at himself in the mirror and checking out his outfit. Maybe it wasn't the most colorful and Christmas-y outfit that he could've worn, but it's not like he planned to have a normal Christmas. "I'm heading out now. I should be there soon.'' Hanging up the phone,  Kane grabbed a coat from his closet and turned to exit his room, but found his mother standing in the doorway. "Where are you going?'' she asked him, arms crossed across her chest. He sighed, wishing she hadn't asked him that since he didn't plan on telling her in the first place. "I'm just gonna hang out with my friends, mom, it's no big deal,'' Kane responded nonchalantly. It was the first Christmas ever that he wanted to spend it somewhere else instead of with his family and she hoped that she would understand that. "No you're not. We're going over to The Bennetts' to spend Christmas at their house,'' The words came out sternly and it was then then that he knew that it would be no use to argue with her. Although the thought that he would have to spend his Christmas in a situation that resembled last time made him want to gag. He figured it would be best to pretend he wasn't going to go then sneak out later.

"Okay, fine,'' Kane sighed out, trying to usher her out of the way as quickly as possible. If this was going to work then he had to pretend he was enthusiastic about having to spend Christmas with people he hadn't seen in over a year, and especially at their house. Once his mother turned to leave, he stayed behind in his room and pulled out his phone to text Grayson that there was a change in plans and that he would need a ride later. Putting his phone back into his pocket before following his mom down the stairs. Thinking about how he was going to spend a portion of his Christmas with his family instead of out having fun like any normal 20 year old would almost made him develop a headache. The only thing that stopped it was the fact that he wouldn't spend the whole Christmas day with them. Kane slipped on his jacket before heading out of his house with his parents in tow and getting into the car. He wondered what his friends were doing and he figured that they were probably getting ready for the party that he was suppose to be leaving for at that moment. Letting out a deep sigh, he slumped back into the seat and looked out the window as they drove towards the house that he really didn't want to be in. It didn't take very long for them to get there and they were soon stepping out of the car and making their way over to the door to ring the doorbell. Kane stayed in the back, not wanting to cause too much unwanted attention to himself.
